rULES
You are in charge of a group of characters. A ref is in charge of the dangerous world. When attempting a risky action roll d6 equal or under your Stamina to succeed. If your background or tool gives you an edge, roll equal or under Stamina+1.
If you succeed to hit an enemy, roll for damage:
d6-1 for daggers and knifes.d6 for swords and bows.d6+1 for battleaxes and longswords.
Lower the enemy's Danger by the amount of damage.
Enemies vary in Danger scores. Roll at the start of combat:
Scary: d3, Really Scary: d6, No Way How Even: 2d6.
Characters who fail attack and evade rolls are hit. Distribute enemy Danger among those who are hit. Lower their Stamina by enemy's Danger. If Stamina is at 0, that character dies. Keep going until only one from your group is left.
" Tim, Reed and Karla all attack the Fire Dragon (Danger 10). They all fail their attack roll. The ref can choose to deal 10 Danger to all characters within the Dragon's area who fail their evade rolls. Alternatively they can choose deal the 10 Damage only to Tim, Reed and Karla."
CHARACTERS
Figure out with the ref & other players how many characters will go on adventure.
4-5 classic, 6-8 deadly, 9-10+ woah thats a horrible place.
Characters are defined by Name, Background, Stamina score, Weapon, Tool. Example:
Tim, Librarian, STA: 4, Longsword, Lantern
Characters start with d4 Stamina.
Roll on your favourite tables from any book to get a Background, Weapon & Tool.
When a character dies, cross them out and note how they died. Example:
Tim, Librarian, STA: 4, Longsword, Lantern Fire Dragon breath
If you have no characters left one of the other players may gift you theirs. You also can create new characters and introduce them at an appropriate moment in the funnel.
